camodernhome is please to introduce to our collection, Angleposie. Classically British in design, the Anglepoise collection is inspired by the original Anglepoise lamp, designed by George Carwardine in 1932. Carwardine, a car designer that specialized in vehicle suspension systems, created a mechanism which he believed provided superior flexibility for task lamps and manufactured the original designs in his Bath workshop in 1934. His original spring tension utilized 4 springs however the design was considered "too industrial" for residential applications so he later introduced a 3 spring version.

Anglepoise, a now international brand, features inspired lighting from the original, in a variety of colors, options and sizes and has collaborated with other British designers, notably, Fashion Designer Paul Smith.
