North Bay Bench
Our North Bay Bench has the clean lines and simple functionality central to modern design and is a perfect and subtle addition to any stylish contemporary home. We’ve added more design resonance by handcrafting the seat from Douglas Fir, reclaimed from beams salvaged from a 1940s mid-century modern home on North Bay Road, Miami’s own Millionaire’s Row. This means that this season’s North Bay Bench truly is a limited edition and each is unique.
Douglas Fir is renowned for its strength and durability but also its burnished golden tones and fine grain, each of which contrast beautifully with the matt, dark timbre of the bench support and legs, delicately finished with brass detail.
The bench seat is hand planed for a smooth, comfortable finish and edges are pleasingly rounded. The base is hand-manufactured using 1/2” hot-rolled steel. Versatile and classic, the North Bay Bench is a modern, compelling statement piece.
